About Us

Well this is more about "Me" and Chrysalis Websolutions is basically me; my name is Ahmed Omran. Web development has been my passion for over eight years and I've been developing my skills ever since I first started. My humble beginnings date back to 1998 when I made my first webpage using the free geocities webpage maker. I first started learning HTML in that same year and after much testing and playing around with other people’s websites I learned all the basics. I spent the next three years or so mainly making fan websites and learned many things because of the hands-on training as well as learning from the rest of the webmasters. I have always loved website design but I didn’t think of advertising my services as a web developer until 2004.

I stumbled upon search engine optimization in 2003 and fell in love with the marketing potential that search provides. I spent the majority of my time studying Biochemistry at the University of Ottawa, Canada but continued to learn more about internet marketing in my spare time. I have realized that I love internet marketing and web development too much to give it up so I’m back and I intend to make it work this time. I am now based in the Montreal area (Quebec, Canada) and have future plans of studying marketing and business in university.

I am right now deepening my knowledge of programming (mainly PHP), graphic design (Adobe Photoshop), and Flash design, while keenly following SEO news and happenings to ensure that I stay on top of this changing industry. I will be sharing my expertise and opinions on SEO and web development topics through my blog and article submissions.
